Jan 20, 2015 Toro y Moi
Yesterday Chaz Bundick, otherwise known as Toro y Moii, announced the upcoming release of his newest album What For?, sharing the record’s included single “Empty Nesters.” This morning Bundick has filled in some more details pertaining to the anticipated full-length, even providing the LP’s album art (pictured) and tracklist (found below).
Recorded in Bundick’s home in Berkeley, the album features contributions from Julian Lynch and Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Ruban Nielson. “I’ve done electronic R&B and more traditional recorded type R&B stuff,” says Bundick in a press release. “I just wanted to see what else was out there. It’s all coming from the same mindset and point of creativity. It’s just me trying to take what I already have, and then take it further.” What For? is due out April 7.
