A decade after releasing their only album, The Postal Service-a side project of Death Cab's Ben Gibbard and producer Jimmy Tamborello-has been rewarding fans with a reunion tour, deluxe re-release, and now a 14 minute long documentary Some Idealistic Future. The film, available to stream on YouTube, was directed by Justin Mitchell as part of The Creator's Project.

The film features interviews with Gibbard, Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis, and captures behind the scenes moments at the band's shows at Barclay's Center on their recent reunion tour. Tamborello goes through his now obsolete computers and samplers that he used on Give Up, and Gibbard talks about what inspired the songs and the circumstances that led to The Postal Service.

"Obviously, it was post-9/11, there was an Iraq War beginning, an there things on a global scale that were kind of terrifying... but it was a time in life where nothing was going on that wasn't happening in my neighborhood. Nothing happening in the world worth paying attention to except indie rock."
