Watch Florence and the Machine Perform “Ship to Wreck” Barefoot in a Pool of Water on “Ellen”

Florence and the Machine
Florence and the Machine performed on Ellen earlier today and their performance was a little…wet. Kudos to Florence Welch and the band for not delivering a standard daytime TV performance of “Ship to Wreck.” Instead Welch was barefoot in an ankle deep pool of water, splashing around the stage as she belted out the song and even kneeling in the water at one point. Considering her electric guitarist and bassist were also performing in said pool, you have to wonder if there were electrocution concerns and also how they pulled it all off without getting the rest of the studio wet. Check it out below, followed by a web-exclusive performance of “What Kind of Man” also in the pool, and Ellen Degeneres’ interview with Welch. Both songs can be found on Florence’s latest album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.
