Doctor Who
The new season of Doctor Who starts a week from Saturday, premiering on BBC America on September 19 at 9 PM EST. Now the BBC has released a 2-minute long prologue to the season, a prequel of sorts, featuring Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor. You can watch it below. Season 9 starts with a two-part episode (“The Magician’s Apprentice” and “The Witch’s Familiar”), both written by show-runner Steven Moffat, that sees the return of Michelle Gomez as the villainous Missy (aka The Master).
In the prologue The Doctor is on the planet Karn and discussing an old enemy. “You are embarking on an enterprise that will end in your destruction,” The Doctor is warned. “You can say that of being born,” he replies. Who knows what it all means, but we’ll hopefully find out next Saturday.
