In 2009 Wes Anderson directed the delightful stop-motion animated film Fantastic Mr. Fox, an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel that starred the voices of George Clooney and Meryl Streep. Since then he’s made two acclaimed live action films, 2012’s Moonrise Kingdom and 2014’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, but now he has returned to stop-motion animation for his new film, Isle of Dogs, which is due out March 23, 2018 via Fox Searchlight.
