Spoon

“Nobody Gets Me But You” Video

Nov 15, 2010

Watch on YouTube

New York venue Cake Shop isn’t exactly condusive to watching your favorite indie bands rock out live. It’s small, very narrow, and dismally lit. Most patrons soak up the general vibe through the bar’s surveillance-style TVs while tossing back a few drinks.

Spoon leader Britt Daniel approximates a similar viewing experience to Drowned in Sound today. The band’s new video for the Transference tune “Nobody Gets Me But You” is based on Daniel’s experience of “seeing” Australia’s Eddy Current Suppression Ring jam at Cake Shop.

Spoon played a show at the cramped venue and filmed it on surveillance-style cameras. Very cool. Watch the clip below (via Drowned in Sound.)
