The War on Drugs
The War on Drugs are releasing a new album, A Deeper Understanding, on August 25 via Atlantic, their first for the label (previously they were on Secretly Canadian). Now they have shared another single from the album, “Pain.” It starts off slow and dreamy, but eventually gets more expansive, climaxing with a transcendent guitar solo.

Twenty-year-old New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde released her sophomore album, Melodrama, last month via LAVA/Republic. Now she has shared a video for “Perfect Places.” Grant Singer directed the clip, which a press release says “features striking imagery and fashion-forward attire as Lorde showcases a plethora of ‘Perfect Places.’”
