Against Me!
Last night Against Me! performed in Durham, North Carolina. Frontwoman Laura Jane Grace is one of the most high profile transgender musicians. There’s been a lot of attention lately on North Carolina’s discriminatory anti-LGBTQ House Bill 2, which puts into law that transgender people have to use the public restroom of the gender on their birth certificate, rather than the gender they now identify themselves as.

Coldplay
Coldplay released their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, back in December via Parlophone/Atlantic. Now the band have shared a new video for “Up&Up” and it’s probably one of their most visually striking videos to date. Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia directed the clip, which juxtaposes different images and sizes in interesting and amusing ways.

Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks (the band, not the iconic David Lynch TV show due to make a return in 2017) released their new album, Down In Heaven, today via Grand Jury. In honor of its release day, the band has shared a video for “Butterfly.” It features the band goofing around in a Chicago cemetery.

Speedy Ortiz
Speedy Ortiz are releasing a new four song EP, Foiled Again, on June 3 via Carpark. It’s the cleverly titled follow-up EP to Speedy Ortiz’s latest album, Foil Deer, which came out last year on Carpark. Now the band has shared a Lazerbeak remix of “Puffer” that features a verse from Lizzo. Listen below.

Wolf Parade
After being on hiatus for five years, Wolf Parade recently announced that they were back and playing some new shows. Today Sub Pop released a deluxe 3-LP reissue of the band’s 2005-released debut album, Apologies to the Queen Mary. Now the band have announced that they are releasing a brand new EP next Tuesday, May 17, via the band’s own Wolf Parade Productions.

David Bowie
Usually the way the A.V. Undercover series works is that bands pick a song to cover from a predetermined list, but this time Shearwater approached A.V. Club with the idea to cover the album. As Meiburg explains, he was listening to Lodger a lot last year. It’s not the most celebrated of Bowie albums, but was well-liked by Bowie himself, although he didn’t tour the album and rarely played any of its songs live.

Radiohead
Radiohead released their new album, A Moon Shaped Pool, digitally on Sunday. Today they have shared to their Instagram a new video vignette by visual artist Tarik Barri inspired by the album with the promise of more interpretations by other artists to come. “We asked some people to make short vignettes interpreting sections of our new record,” the band wrote.
