Later this week, San Diego-based singer/songwriter Eric Schroeder is set to share his new LP, Turned on the Stereo, out April 26th via Enabler No. 6 Records. Although Schroeder is only 21, he has quickly built up a prolific series of releases, releasing four full-length albums beginning with his 2020 debut, Country-Flavored Rolling Paper, and continuing until 2022’s The Things You Don’t See When You Live With Closed Eyes.

Thurston Moore (formerly of Sonic Youth) has shared a new song, “Rewilding.” Its release is timed to Earth Day. Moore is on one of the two covers of our just announced ’90s Issue, where he discusses Sonic Youth’s albums from that decade.

Thom Yorke (of Radiohead and The Smile) has confirmed the details of his soundtrack to Confidenza and shared two tracks from it, “Knife Edge” and “Prize Giving.” The former features Yorke’s vocals and was shared via a video featuring a scene from the film. The latter is an instrumental track.

Fans last heard from London indie punk outfit Fresh with their 2022 album, Raise Hell, their third full-length release following their 2017 self-titled debut and 2019 sophomore record, Withdraw. Those records occupied a restless space, feeling at turns biting, joyous, fuzzy, and propulsive, knit together by nervy guitar lines and frontwoman Kathryn Woods’ cathartic lyrical voice.

Silberman has been a hard-touring musician and engineer for years now, while Carnes comes from the world of acting. Seattle-based indie rock singer/songwriter Mia Day debuted with her 2018 full-length effort Gold, which initially found her evoking strains of plaintive Americana. However, rather than staying in that lane, the subsequent years were ones of transition. During this period she attended college and toured the festival circuit before navigating a year of personal upheaval, during which she wrote her forthcoming sophomore album, Hellier, Forever.
