Weyes Blood Shares New Sci-Fi Video for “Andromeda”

Weyes Blood (aka Natalie Mering) has shared a new video for “Andromeda” in honor of the fifth anniversary of Titanic Rising, which featured the song and came out April 5, 2019. The video was partially filmed in 2018 and was completed this year.

Premiere: Hot Moms Club Shares New Video for “Trader Joe’s”

Hot Moms Club is the indie folk project of singer/songwriter Eliza Vera. Vera first debuted under the moniker with a self-titled EP in 2022, and could also be heard that year providing vocal and songwriting contributions to Bartees Strange’s sophomore record, Farm to Table. Earlier this year, Vera returned with a second EP, Welcome to the Club, and she is reportedly currently in the studio working on another set of new songs.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis Share “Song For Amy” from Amy Winehouse Biopic Soundtrack

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have shared the new track “Song For Amy,” which is found on two albums connected to the new Amy Winehouse biopic, Back to Black—its soundtrack and its score album (also composed by Cave and Ellis). The film is already out in the UK, but doesn’t hit American theaters until May 17. But both albums are out now. Stream the song and both albums here, followed by the film’s trailer.

Vampire Weekend released a new album, Only God Was Above Us, last week via Columbia. This week, they were guests on The Daily Show, where they performed the album’s “Mary Boone” and were interviewed. They also sat in with the jam band Goose at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY, where they performed the album’s “Gen-X Cops” and did an extended 30-minute plus jam of “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa,” from the band’s self-titled debut album. And they also covered Grateful Dead’s “Peggy-O.”

Premiere: The Disassociates Shares New Video for “30mg”

Southern California-based alt rock outfit The Disassociates first debuted last year with their singles “I Don’t Wanna” and “30mg,” teasing the release of their debut album, No Reason This Can’t Be Fun. The record came out earlier this year and finds the band taking on influences from alt rock, power pop, and pop rock, layering them with catchy melodies and a charmingly relatable lyrical bent.
