Felicita is an Anglo-Polish producer. Felicita has announced a debut album, hej!, and shared a video for its first single, “marzipan.” The song and video both feature Caroline Polachek (formerly of Chairlift). Hej! is due out August 3 via PC Music. Watch the video below, followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.

Matt Copson directed the video. The song is an old Polish lullaby

Felicita issued this statement about the album in a press release:

“This is my first album: hej!

It’s a set of musical paper cuttings; a nu-slavic folk tale; the soundtrack to a lonely dancer’s journey across the Arizona desert.

hej! explores and expands my own musical mission, to make bold and experimental pop, combining human feeling with musical robotics.

The music on hej! is not ramshackle and unstructured, it’s intuitive and organic. The piano on hej! was both played by hand and programmed. The vocals on hej! are my own voice and the voice of Caroline Polachek.

hej! was mostly written between 2016-17 in Shanghai and LA; it formed during time spent in the medieval city of Kraków. It’s also connected abstractly to a dance piece I created in 2016 titled soft power, in collaboration with the Polish dance company Śląsk.

hej! means hey!, you can say it when greeting a friend, or when saying goodbye.”
