Frank Ocean has long been teasing the release of a new album entitled Boys Don’t Cry, but on Thursday night instead he released a new visual album called Endless exclusively via Apple Music. You can watch it here. It was reported that Ocean was also releasing Boys Don’t Cry this weekend, except it had a new title, and he shared a NSFW video for a new song titled “Nikes.” Now that album has been released on Apple Music and it’s now titled either Blond or Blonde (on the album cover it’s Blond but the Apple Music listing has it as Blonde). Ocean also released an accompanying magazine titled Boys Don’t Cry that includes a poem from Kanye West about McDonalds and a poem from Ocean entitled “Boyfriend,” among other things. The magazine also credits these contributors to Blond: David Bowie, Kanye West, Jamie xx, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Jonny Greenwood, The Beatles, André 3000, Brian Eno, Pharrell, Elliott Smith, Amber Coffman, James Blake, Rostam Batmanglij, Rick Rubin, and others. Some of those were involved in the album’s creation, others were likely sampled.
