Good news for Robert Pollard fans: reunited indie rockers Guided By Voices will be joining the lineup of the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival, which takes place July 15 through 17 at Chicago’s Union Park. GBV, who came together in 2010 for a classic ‘93-‘96 lineup tour, have been added to the fest’s Friday lineup along with the sultry New Pornographers’ vocalist Neko Case.
The fest’s Saturday schedule now includes Los Angeles noise-rock stalwarts No Age, experimental New Yorkers Gang Gang Dance, rap duo G-Side, and Chi-town’s very own Chrissy Murderbot.
The Fresh & Onlys, Radio Dept., HEALTH, Shabazz Palaces, Baths, How to Dress Well, Kurt Vile, and Twin Sister have also been confirmed today as additions to the Sunday lineup.
According to the fest’s press release, another batch of bands are expected to be added to the already impressive lineup in the upcoming weeks. For a full list of bands slated to perform, check out below.
