Musician and model Karen Elson has filed a restraining order against her ex-husband, Jack White. According to the Nashville City Paper White and Elson, have been engaged in a heated custody battle over their two children. Elson now claims that White has been harassing her, making threats over the phone and through email.

The restraining order was served on July 22 and states “Wife fears for her and the children’s safety as a result of this harassment,” and that “this pattern of husband’s bullying wife into submission was a contributing factor in the demise of their marriage.”

Further details of the order describe incidents in which Elson was berated by White for associating herself and their children with an unnamed rival musician that “ripped off” his music.

Married from 2005 to 2011, White and Elson actually celebrated their divorce with a party. Inviting close friends and family, the event’s invitation stated “We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow.”
