Lux Prima Due Out This Friday via BMG
Mar 11, 2019 Karen O
Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O and Danger Mouse are releasing a collaborative album, Lux Prima, this Friday (March 15) via BMG. Now they have shared another song from it, “Turn the Light.” Listen below. On March 18 the duo will perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in a special performance directed by noted film and music video director Spike Jonze.
Back in November they shared the album’s lush and epic nine-minute long title track, “Lux Prima” (which was our #1 Song of the Week), and announced their intentions to release an album. Then in January they officially announced the album and shared another song from it, “Woman.”
Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ last album was 2013’s Mosquito and in 2014 Karen O released the solo album Crush Songs. Danger Mouse has been an in-demand producer for over a decade and also one half of the duos Gnarls Barkley (with CeeLo Green) and Broken Bells (with The Shins’ James Mercer).
