Listen to the New 24-Hour Flaming Lips Song and Watch Their Tribute to Steve Jobs
Buy Your Own 24-Hour Song Skull for “7 Skies H3” for $5000
Nov 02, 2011 The Flaming Lips
First it was the six hour song, “I Found a Star on the Ground.” Now The Flaming Lips have released their 24-hour song, “7 Skies H3.”
The song is streaming over at the appropriately named site flaminglipstwentyfourhoursong. Also known for selling their music accompanied with nifty gadgets, the song is also available in physical form in a hard drive that’s wedged inside a human skull. They are only selling thirteen of these skulls, with only nine remaining at the moment.
On Halloween, the band paid a tribute to Steve Jobs at the MTV O Music Awards by performing The Beatles song, “Revolution”, which was recorded entirely on iPads. Watch the performance here.
