Legendary ‘90s shoegazers Slowdive reformed in 2014 and have been playing shows. There were promises that they were working on new music and a couple of weeks ago they finally shared “Star Roving,” their first new song in 22 years. It sounded like vintage Slowdive and the band also announced that they had signed to Dead Oceans, who will release their forthcoming new album. Now the band-Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Christian Savill (guitar), Nick Chaplin (bass), Rachel Goswell (vocals), and Simon Scott (drums, electronics)-have announced some American tour dates, their first U.S. tour since 2014. Japanese Breakfast will open all dates and tickets go on sale this Friday, January 27. Check them out below, followed again by “Star Roving.”
We interviewed Slowdive’s Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell in 2014 about the reunion and posted various articles on the band. Read our print magazine article on Slowdive’s reunion.
