Superorganism are a promising new multi-national band based in London. They feature members from Japan, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, and the U.K. and their self-titled debut album is due out this Friday (March 2) via Domino. We recently shared a video for “Reflections on the Screen” (which was one of our Songs of the Week). Now they have done a session for SiriusXM where they have covered the Pavement classic “Cut Your Hair” (from the Stephen Malkmus-fronted band’s 1994 album Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain). We could see Pavement being a bit of an influence on Superorganism, at least in terms of the two bands sharing a clever sense of humor. Check out the cover below, followed by Pavement’s original video for the song and Superorganism’s upcoming tour dates.
