Sometimes it’s best to just laugh along with your detractors. Indie-pop foursome Vampire Weekend know this to be true, and the video for “Holiday” is a perfect example. Anyone whose followed the ascendant band know of critics and bloggers calling VW the “Richie” Riches of the indie set. Well, this new vid one-ups the taunts by slapping some aristocratic powdered wigs (17th century-era Versailles) on the group as they cavort around summery beaches/pools with babes, hit up an In-N-Out drive thru, and eat decadent sweets.
