Watch: Chromatics - “I Can Never Be Myself When You’re Around” Video
Dear Tommy Due Out Someday
Sep 13, 2016
Chromatics
Chromatics still haven’t announced the release date for Dear Tommy, their follow-up to 2012’s Kill For Love that was announced back in 2014 with an original release date of February 2015. But perhaps it’s approaching, as last month we were treated to a video for title track “Dear Tommy” and now the band has released a video for “I Can Never Be Myself When You’re Around,” a song they originally shared back in March 2015. The stylish black & white clip simply features the band performing the song, but features lots of quick cuts and split screens. The band directed and edited the video themselves in Los Angeles. Watch it below.
When the album was originally announced, band leader Johnny Jewel promised to release a new Chromatics song every week until Dear Tommy‘s release, but that never quite happened. Still, the band have shared various songs from the album (“Just Like You,” “I Can Never Be Myself When You’re Around,” “In Films,” “Dear Tommy,” and “Shadow”).
