Superorganism are a promising new multi-national band based in London. They feature members from Japan, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, and the U.K. and their self-titled debut album came out in March via Domino. Now the band have stopped by NPR’s offices to perform three songs as a Tiny Desk Concert. For the uninitiated, Tiny Desk Concerts are stripped down sets recorded at the desk of Bob Boilen, the host of NPR’s All Songs Considered. Sure, NPR posted this video last week, so we’re a little late to the party, but it’s one of the more fun Tiny Desk Concerts we’ve seen and so we had to share. The band have inflatable whales and perform with all sorts of interesting props (shoes, straws, bottles, and apples). The band performed “The Prawn Song,” “Night Time,” and “Something for Your M.I.N.D.” Watch it below.

We previously shared a video for “Reflections on the Screen” (which was one of our Songs of the Week), their cover of the Pavement classic “Cut Your Hair” (from the Stephen Malkmus-fronted band’s 1994 album Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain), and the video for “Night Time.”
