Zambri – Under the Radar’s SXSW Party Spotlight
Playing Under the Radar's Second SXSW 2012 Party, Thursday, March 15 at Flamingo Cantina
Mar 07, 2012
Zambri
On March 15 Under the Radar will host the second of three free SXSW Day parties sponsored by PRS Guitars. Leading up to the event we’re letting you know about each artist playing. Today we’re spotlighting Zambri.
In a previous post we gave you the basic party details of the party: The party happens from 12:00-6:00 PM at the Flamingo Cantina at 6th and Red River (515 E. 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701). All events are free and open to the public—no RSVPs or badges are required. The second day also features performances from Slow Club, Choir of Young Believers, Com Truise, Taken By Trees, Bear in Heaven, and Chairlift.
The Zambri sisters may hail from Brooklyn, but their music comes from another world entirely. On the strength of their siren-call voices and a twisted cloud of electronics, Cristi Jo and Jessica transport the listener to a world where fairytales (and nightmares) can come true. Check out our review of their debut EP here, and a selection of videos and tracks below.
