British experimental pop group Pram have shared their campy new video for “Doll’s Eyes,” off of their 2018 album Across the Meridian (on Domino), and we are pleased to premiere it. The video tells the story of a jealous scientist who, wounded by her enemy’s cat in her youth, attempts mind control in order to exact revenge. More

Hello again. We haven’t done a Songs of the Week for almost five weeks, since June 9. We were on vacation from mid to late June and then when we returned there really weren’t enough compelling songs last week to justify doing Songs of the Week lists, mainly because of the July 4th holiday being smack dab in the middle of the week and so labels mainly avoided sharing new songs. Birmingham, England’s Pram have announced a new album, Across the Meridian, and shared a video for its first single, “Shimmer and Disappear.” It’s the band’s first album in 11 years, since 2007’s The Moving Frontier, and is due out July 20 via Domino. More
