New York-based trio Beach Fossils are releasing a new album, Somersault, on June 2 via Bayonet. Previously they had shared Somersault tracks “This Year” and “Saint Ivy” (the latter via a video). Now have shared another song from the album, “Down the Line,” via a lo-fi video directed by frontman Dustin Payseur. The grainy clip features Payseur wandering around New York, and specifically on one of its bridges, as night turns into dawn. Watch it below, followed by the band’s tour dates.
Beach Fossils are also encouraging fans to donate to two arts programs that are facing funding cuts due to the Trump administration, the National Endowment for the Arts (donate here) and Center for Arts Education NYC (donate here). A previous press release stated: “They want to make sure this video is a platform for people to be informed about the ability to speak out against the defunding of these programs, as well as collect any possible donations for their programs.”
Beach Fossils Tour Dates:
Sat. April 8 - Santa Ana, CA @ When We Were Young Festival
Fri. July 21 - Sun. July 23 - Los Angeles, CA @ FYF Festival
