Fischerspooner are releasing a new album, Sir, on February 16 via Ultra. Now they have shared a new song from it, “TopBrazil,” via a NSFW video, and have also announced some tour dates. Tom C J Brown directed the video, which a press release describes as featuring “frontman Casey Spooner interwoven into a collage of male bodies becoming one, all the while blurring the lines of masculinity and femininity paired with overt sexuality.” Watch it below, followed by the tour dates.

Spooner had this to say about the video in a press release: “The video celebrates a pop aesthetic typically reserved for the female archetype and liberates the male form to be sexual, expressive, and fearless.”

The duo (Spooner and Warren Fischer), who survived the early 2000s electro-clash label, haven’t released an album since 2009’s Entertainment. Previously they shared a video for a great new song, “Togetherness,” which featured the guest vocals of Caroline Polachek, of the recently broken up Chairlift (who also appeared in the video), as well as another song from the album, “Butterscotch Goddam,” which features Johnny Magee.

Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe produced Sir (he and Spooner briefly dated in the late ‘80s) and also co-wrote the album with Spooner. Sir was recorded in Athens, GA, and also features additional production by BOOTS and mixing by Stuart White and Andy LeMaster. A previous press release has this to say about the album: “The highly-personal album chronicles the dissolution of Casey’s 14-year romantic relationship and simultaneously acts a means of resistance towards popular conservative ideals today through its unabashed queerness.”

Fischerspooner Tour Dates:

March 14 - San Francisco, CA @ Regency Ballroom
March 15 - Los Angeles, CA @ The Fonda Theatre
March 16 - Santa Ana, CA @ The Observatory
