Metric to Tour U.S., New Album Available Now
Metric is slated to tour the U.S. in support of their newest full-length release, Fantasies, which will become available in physical formats beginning April 14th. However, you can acquire the full album in digital format beginning today—a full two weeks early—through iTunes and the band’s site (DRM-free, MP3 or FLAC). If you’re more inclined to wait for the hard copy but not the experience, it can also be previewed via the band’s website along with a video for the upcoming single, “Gimme Sympathy” (www.ilovemetric.com).
The album has already begun garnering praise among the press and on the charts. With the first single “Help I’m Alive” having occupied the #1 spots in Canada and on the FMBQ Top 25 Singles Chart for US Specialty, Fantasies also contains tracks recently featured on Grey’s Anatomy and KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic”.
The U.S. tour begins in early June with a performance at the illustrious Showbox Theater in Seattle, Washington.
