A stage collapse at the Indiana Stage Fair claimed the lives of five people over the weekend, causing severe injuries countless others. Following two very similiar scenarios at the Ottawa Bluesfest and a Flaming Lips concert, heavy winds caused the massive structure’s steel scaffolding, lighting, and audio equipment to come crashing down. According to CNN, the tragedy occurred just before country duo Sugarland was scheduled to perform and that many concertgoers immediately rushed the wreckage to help, even making makeshift stretchers from their seats. Footage of the incident was caught by various spectators, one of which can be watched below (warning: viewer discretion advised).
