Surfer Blood recently shared an update on Facebook from their guitarist Thomas Fekete, who, as we reported earlier in the week, is undergoing cancer treatment.

The note from Fekete reads:

“Another curve ball, what was meant to be a one hour surgery turned out to be five. Treatments pushed back a week while I’m in the hospital recovering. Language will fail me if I even try to explain how thankful I am for every single one of you. I can physically feel the tremendous amounts of love and I am so grateful. No matter what life throws at you, nothing can get in the way of love.” - Thomas

As his treatment has sidelined Fekete from touring, medical costs have begun to mount. In response, Fekete has started a GoFundMe campaign for anyone to donate towards his treatment and urged those who can’t donate to spread the word about this campaign. Find the link to the campaign here.
