Watch: Preoccupations - “Memory” Video
Self-Titled Album Out Now via Jagjaguwar
Dec 01, 2016
Preoccupations
Preoccupations, the band formerly known as Viet Cong, released their first album under their new name, also titled Preoccupations, back in September via Jagjaguwar. Now the band has shared a video for the album’s 11-minute centerpiece track, “Memory.” The post-punk epic features guest vocals from Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade. Kevan Funk directed the video, which stars Preoccupations’ drummer Mike Wallace. At first it’s just lots of shots of Wallace hanging out in an apartment and at a bar, but things get more disturbing midway through when he sets himself on fire and then a strange figure starts wandering the forest. Watch it below.
