Watch Spoon Perform Cramps Cover “TV Set” on “Conan”
Cover Included on Poltergeist Soundtrack
Jun 04, 2015 Spoon
Last night Spoon stopped by Conan, but instead of performing a song from last year’s They Want My Soul album, they did a cover of The Cramps’ “TV Set.” The cover was appropriately recorded for the soundtrack to the remake of 1980s horror classic Poltergeist (which includes spirits communicating through a static-y TV who also want your soul).
Listen to the studio version of the cover, along with The Cramps’ original, here. Check out the spirited strobe light-assisted performance below. “I want to see that again right now, that was killer,” exclaimed Conan O’Brien at the end and he was right.
