Neko Case
Neko Case is set to release her entire solo discography on vinyl as part of a box set entitled Truckdriver, Gladiator, Mule. It’s due out November 13 via ANTI- and below you can watch a trailer for it. She has also announced some tour dates in which she will be performing as a quartet for the first time in 14 years and playing songs from across her catalog.

Doctor Who
The BBC have announced that the fan-favorite character River Song will be returning to Doctor Who for this year’s Christmas special, which is expected to air on BBC America on Christmas Day, as they do every year. Alex Kingston’s character, also The Doctor’s wife, first appeared in the show opposite David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor for a two-part episode in season 4, but was a regular guest character during the seasons featuring Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor.

Garbage previously announced the “20 Years of Queer Tour” in which they will play in its entirety their 1995-released excellent self-titled debut album (which featured the singles “Queer,” “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Stupid Girl,” “Vow,” and “Milk”). Now the band (Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig) have officially announced Garbage: 20th Anniversary Edition, a reissue of the debut album.

Elliott Smith
The Elliott Smith documentary Heaven Adores You got a limited theatrical release on May 7 and was released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 17 via Eagle Rock Entertainment. Now it’s been revealed that a soundtrack is on the way and that it will feature as many as 16 unreleased Elliott Smith songs (the documentary did feature a bunch of unreleased Smith music).
