Starting in October, orchestral indie-folk singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens will embark on his first large-theater North American trek in many, many moons. Stevens and his label, Asthmatic Kitty, scheduled the unexpected tour.

There’s no word whether this tour will be in support of a new set of songs or just another victory lap. (Honestly, we don’t care when it comes to this dude.) The dates are below. More info can be gleaned about pre-sales and prices on the A Kitty site or the evil Ticketmaster. We love these types of surprises.
