Self Discovery for Social Survival Soundtrack Due Out June 14 via Mexican Summer

Self Discovery for Social Survival is an upcoming surf music feature film put together by Mexican Summer and the NYC-based surf and outdoor company Pilgrim Surf + Supply. The film features footage of surfers juxtaposed with bands recording in the studio and is due out digitally June 18, with the soundtrack coming out June 14 via Mexican Summer. Now two songs from it has been shared, Dungen’s “Var Har Du Varit” and Peaking Lights’ “Mirror in the Sky.” More

Peaking Lights have teamed up with actress Chloë Sevigny for a new song. The husband/wife duo provide the music and Sevigny does a spoken word vocal over the track. Sound designer Michael Gaubert commissioned the song for a Régime des Fleurs runway show that took place on Sunday. More
