Califone's video for "Moonbath.Brainsalt.A.Holy.Fool" is absurd and hilarious. It takes the already excellent cut from 2013's Stitches and juxtaposes it against a cleverly twisted but lighthearted story about a former high school football player longing for his glory days. The video was directed by Andrew Peyton, who co-wrote the story with George McAuliffe. McAuliffe also stars in the video alongside Mark Vannier. Stitches is available now via Dead Oceans. Califone one of my all time favorite groups. Simply well done. The editor and writers did a remarkable job. Loved it because it was so smart and different from the average music videos we are always subjected to. Just so cool and so entertaining. Laughed out loud!!
