Sweden’s Lykke Li released a new album, so sad so sexy, back in June via RCA. Last night she stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to perform the album’s “sex money feelings die” with some backing singers. Watch the performance below.

Previously Lykke Li shared the album’s first two singles, “hard rain” and “deep end,” as well as a video for another song from the album, “utopia.” Then she shared an intimate iPhone-shot vertical video for “deep end.” That was followed by a cinematic video for “hard rain” that costarred Moley Talhaoui, a Swedish artist/illustrator, and chronicled a volatile relationship. Then she shared two more songs from it, “sex money feelings die” and “two nights” (which featured Portland rapper Aminé). In April Lykke Li shared a mysterious new 90-second teaser trailer that featured new instrumental music and was also entitled so sad so sexy. It featured the singer/songwriter is various states of dress in several settings. She also did a session for Spotify where she covered Usher’s “U Got It Bad” and did her own “sex money feelings sad.”

Lykke Li’s last album was 2014’s I Never Learn. In February she shared a new cover of Jim Croce’s 1972 single “Time in a Bottle.”

In 2016 and 2017 Lykke Li released some music with LIV, a Swedish supergroup that features Li, her romantic partner Jeff Bhasker, Andrew Wyatt from Miike Snow, Pontus Winnberg from Miike Snow and Amason, and Peter Bjorn and John‘s Björn Yttling. In September 2016 the band was announced via the debut of their first song, “Wings of Love.” Then in October 2016 we were treated to a NSFW video for the song directed by Li in her directorial debut. Then in November 2016 there was another song from the band, the slow-burning “Dream Awake.” In June 2017 LIV shared a third song, the upbeat “Heaven,” via its lyric video. Then in September 2017 they shared a delicate new song, “Hurts to Liv.”
