Miki Berenyi Trio Launched Their Last Ever U.S. Tour in D.C. Even Though Moose Almost Didn’t Make It

The Band Performed Songs from Their Debut Album Tripla as Well as Lush Classics

Two days before Miki Berenyi Trio were due to launch their North American tour at Pearl Street Warehouse in Washington, D.C., Berenyi (formerly of 1990s shoegaze/dream pop/Britpop band Lush) emailed me to warn me that the British group might be performing as a duo instead, as her life partner and bandmate KJ “Moose” McKillop still hadn’t had his U.S. visa approved, describing the whole process as “like a dystopian nightmare.” More
