Carrie Brownstein
Deadline reports that singer/actress/comedian Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney, Portlandia) is set to make her feature film directorial debut with a film entitled Fairy Godmother, for MGM. Brownstein has already directed episodes of Portlandia, Casual, and Idiotsitter, as well as the short film for KENZO, The Realest Real.

British trio Muse have shared a new song, “Dig Down,” via its video. Lance Drake directed the science fiction styled video, which stars model and activist Lauren Wasser as she tries to escape from some sort of facility.

Soundgarden
Earlier today we reported that Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell had passed away last night in Detroit after the band’s show at the Fox Theater. Cornell, who was only 52, was found unresponsive in his hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit last night.
