TOY
SEXWITCH is a collaboration between Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan), producer Dan Carey, and the psych-rock band TOY. The band is releasing their self-titled debut album next Friday (September 25) via Echo/BMG. We’ve already heard its first single, “Helelyos,” and now they’ve shared another track from the album, the hypnotic, near 7-minute long “Ha Howa Ha Howa.”

Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio is releasing his debut solo album today (September 18) via Glassnote. He’s going simply under his last name and the album is titled The Names after a Don DeLillo novel from 1982 of the same name. Last night he performed his single, and definite album highlight (and perhaps one of our favorite songs of the year thus far), “Sister of Pearl,” on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

It includes “Nail,” a song is from last year’s album Taiga that was also recently given the music video treatment, as well as the previously unreleased track “Circles” and a remix of “Go (Blank Sea)” by Xanopticon.

Arcade Fire
Arcade Fire have announced a new 7-inch single featuring two outtakes from last year’s album Reflektor. “Get Right” and “Crucified Again” are the songs in question. No firm release date has been confirmed for the 7-inch, but it can be pre-ordered starting September 25 and that’s the cover art above.
