Marvel’s The Avengers have dominated cineplexes and the box office for a number of years now, but my friends, the Justice League is closing in. The powerhouse DC Comics superhero team took one step closer to the big screen this week in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a new series. And it was awesome.

After 22 years with ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, Conrad Keely releases his debut solo album, if we can call it that. You could view these 24 tracks as value for money but Original Machines is an overwhelming and inconsistent listen; less a professionally-minded album, per se, than a sheer outpouring of the entire Keely vault.

Not long after news of David Bowie‘s death shocked the world last week, Arcade Fire and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band announced a second line parade through New Orleans’ French Quarter to honor the late musician. (Traditionally, a New Orleans funeral involves two lines-the first, a somber march to the cemetery; the second parade is an animated, musical celebration of the deceased’s life.)
