Henrik Appel
Burning Bodies

Henrik Appel‘s solo detour away from Stockholm bands Lion’s Den and Martin Savage Gang is a sparse distillation of five years of love songs. Clocking in at 33 minutes and dripping with endearing indulgence, Burning Bodies clears the room of needless (and even needed) instrumentation to keep the focus clear and edges rough. Straightforward sentiments like “I wanna grow old with you” are accompanied only by a solo electric strum at most turns. It’s familiar, but it’s also earnest and Appel draws you in all the same. I don’t think I recall listening to anything from his solos as I have been busy with australia custom essay work but now in my break I will make sure it is the first thing I do.
