Olivia Rodrigo and her Guts Tour arrived in Salt Lake City and Under the Radar photographer Moses Namkung was there to document the night.

The lights dimmed at the Delta Center to the initial riffs from “Bad Idea, Right?”, the rollicking opener of the set, and Rodrigo emerged on stage amongst smoke and spotlights in her Guts uniform of a bejewelled two-piece and Doc Martens. The tween shrieks ensued and didn’t stop - even the strongest earplugs have their decibel limits.

The tour is on the tail end of its second run through North America, with a few weeks of West Coast shows left. Given it was a homecoming of sorts for the Grammy-winning artist and star of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, some of which was filmed in Salt Lake City, there were nods to the Beehive State sprinkled throughout the show. Amidst these personal touches, the 23-song setlist has largely remained steady throughout the tour. The first act of the show includes her massive hits (“Driver’s License”, “Vampire”), followed by an interlude of Rodrigo singing ballads (“Logical”, “Enough For You”) while aloft on a crescent moon and closing out with power punk encores (“Good 4 U” “Get Him Back!”). On this night, Rodrigo clearly demonstrated that she is a tour de force.
