Fresh off her “legends” slot performance at Glastonbury 2024, Shania Twain demonstrated that any issues at “Glasto” were due to technical problems rather than her voice, as she delivered another electrifying show to celebrate the 4th of July in fine style. The date also marked the end of the Conservative Party’s 14-year hold on the nation, putting the crowd in a celebratory mood. The 58-year-old Canadian superstar joked about arriving in her underwear, taking the stage in a black bodysuit, orange jacket, and her signature cowboy hat and boots.
Twain, known for her songwriting prowess, iconic style, and chart-topping success, opened with crowd-pleasers “Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)” and “You Win My Love.” The setlist continued with hits like “I’m Gonna Getcha Good,” “Honey I’m Home,” and “Any Man Of Mine.” She even brought her number-one fan, 81-year-old local resident Ken, on stage and touchingly thanked him for his unwavering support. The show culminated in the ultimate sing-along anthem, “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” and the crowd, adorned in pink cowboy hats, looked like they didn’t want the country-pop party to end.
Australian actress and singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem provided excellent support and was in fine voice, as Under The Radar photographer Andy Von Pip captured the action.
