After 18 months on the road in support of their UK No. 1 album All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade, The Libertines wrapped up their world tour, which took them from sold-out dates in Australia, Korea, and Mexico to packed venues across Europe, with a massive homecoming show at Gunnersbury Park in West London.
The setlist was a career-spanning love letter to fans, seamlessly weaving in new favourites like “Run Run Run” and “Baron’s Claw” alongside raucous early classics such as “Time For Heroes” and “Don’t Look Back Into the Sun”.
In true Libertines fashion, the day’s line-up was carefully handpicked by the band. Kicking things off was Dutch punk four-piece Real Farmer (signed to Peter Doherty’s Strap-Originals label), followed by Brighton’s riotous Lambrini Girls, Doherty’s friend and collaborator Hak Baker, and Kent punk duo Soft Play. Britpop legends Supergrass took the penultimate slot, introduced by Doherty himself.
With such a strong bill, our photographer Luciana Cacciatore dove into the pit to capture the chaos, the camaraderie and the pure joy of the day. Scroll down to relive the magic through her lens.
