Leila’s rickety electronic bleats, pitter-patter drums, and moody, stargazing atmosphere make her close in kin with some of the hallowed legends on her new label, Warp. Such artists as Aphex Twin and Seefeel come to mind. But Leila’s music is also incredibly out of style and U&I will only impress if you’re already part of Warp’s main target audience. “out of style”...?...if I had known you were a fashion magazine, I would have got warp to send you a nice little dress instead.
Nice use of the word hallowed though.
