The British label Heavenly Recordings is turning 25 this year. As part of the 25th anniversary celebration they've commissioned Mark Lanegan and Beth Orton to team up for a duet cover of "Your Kisses Burn." The original duet was recorded in 1988 by Marc Almond of Soft Cell and Nico. It ended up being Nico's last ever recording, as she died of a heart attack later that year. More

To those who've ignorantly discarded her as a one-season wonder on the back of 1996's (still excellent) Trailer Park, whisper it quietly: Beth Orton has been continuing to deliver work of significant quality over the past 20 years. 2006's Comfort of Strangers was an overlooked, subtle gem of a record and 2012's Sugaring Season was as intriguing, deep and richly layered as her previous work.
