Dinner (aka Danish producer Anders Rhedin) has shared a video for his new song “Anima.” It is the latest single to be released from his forthcoming album, Dream Work, which will be out on October 22 via Captured Tracks. The video was co-directed by Rhedin alongside Russian multi-instrumentalist Katya Yonder. More

Now he has shared a video for “Lie.” The simple black & white clip features Rhedin perform the song on guitar in a black studio while a sunglasses clad girl dances in front of him. Under the Radar hosted an official nighttime showcase at SXSW this year on the final night of the Austin music conference (Saturday). The event happened at Central Presbyterian Church, a beautiful building with amazing acoustics, and featured sets from TORRES, San Fermin, Amason, Boxed In, Springtime Carnivore, Talk In Tongues, and Dinner. “When I was 14, I just wanted to play stuff like AC/DC,” Dinner says. “I even wrote AC/DC with an ink marker on my cheap guitar and it rubbed off on my arm. I just imagined that when I started playing guitar I would wind up in a scenario pretty close to the ‘Thunderstruck’ video … You have scaffolding in an arena, and kids are hanging out there being cool and headbanging, with AC/DC playing in the middle. I imagined that six months after picking up my guitar, that’s what my life would be like. But I’m not at that point yet, unfortunately. I just need to keep at it.” More
