London four-piece Mouth Ulcers have shared “Space”, out now via LAB Records and the latest single from their debut EP Silent Pictures, due July 10th.
Formed in 2025 by Zak Watson (vocals/guitar), Josephine Rose (guitar/vocals), Jamie-Lee Culver (bass) and David Zbirka (drums), the band draw on Joy Division, The Cure and Bauhaus, building a sound around melodic basslines, wiry guitars and baritone vocals.
Speaking about “Space”, the band say: “It explores how nostalgia can feel like both a physical presence and a permanent loss. Something that’s a common theme across the whole EP, seeing how the past is a part of you but you have to leave it behind to survive.”
The band made their live debut earlier this year with sold-out shows in the UK and the Netherlands, and are currently active on the festival circuit this summer.
Silent Pictures is out July 10th via LAB Records.
