Julia Holter
Los Angeles based artist Julia Holter is releasing her fourth full-length album, Have You in My Wilderness, next Friday (September 25) via Domino. Now you can stream the whole glorious thing below, via NPR First Listen. Holter has also shared an individual stream of another song from the record, the stirring piano-backed ballad “Betsy on the Roof,” which swells with strings towards the end.

New Order
On September 25 New Order are releasing Music Complete, their first studio album in a decade, first for their new label Mute, and first not to feature founding member Peter Hook (but it sees the return of founding member Gillian Gilbert). They have now shared a new song from the album, “Plastic.” The very club-ready track was mixed by Richard X and can be streamed below.

Wavves are releasing their fifth album, the fittingly titled V, on October 2 via Ghost Ramp and Warner Bros. The band has already shared various tracks from the record, including “Way Too Much,” “Flamezesz,” and “Heavy Metal Detox.” Now they’ve shared a video for “Way Too Much.”

Father John Misty
A video for Father John Misty‘s “The Night Josh Tillman Came to Our Apartment” seems imminent, as the singer/songwriter (real name Josh Tillman) has shared a teaser trailer for it. In it Tillman doesn’t sing the I Love You, Honeybear track. Instead he sings “Silent Night” (it’s a little early for Christmas songs, isn’t it?).

Mew‘s new U.S. tour starts this week. In honor of that they’ve shared a new remix of “Witness” by Olugbenga Adelekan, the bassist for Metronomy. He adds a lot more meat and heft to the song and you can check out his remix below, followed by the band’s tour dates. The song is taken from the band’s latest album, + -, released earlier this year.

Back in August Elbow frontman Guy Garvey gave an interview with the British radio station XFM and said that he’d just put the finishing touches on a new solo album and that it was due for release in October. Now Garvey has announced on his official Facebook page that the album is titled Courting the Squall and is due out October 30 in the U.K.

A new song by Thom Yorke, “Villain,” was played during the runway show for the New York fashion label Rag & Bone at New York Fashion Week this week. While the song has no lyrics or lead vocals from Yorke, it features the vocals of 12 members of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and still bears the hallmarks of a Yorke composition.

Back in April DIIV announced that their second album, the somewhat awkwardly titled Is the Is Are, will be coming out this fall via Captured Tracks. Since then there’s been radio silence. No songs from the album have been shared and a more exact release date has yet to be confirmed, putting into question whether it will be a 2015 release after all. But now the band has shared a brand new song, “Dopamine,” which gives hope that Is the Is Are isn’t too far from being released.
