Outside Lands have announced their 2019 lineup. The festival goes down August 9 - 11 at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The headliners are Paul Simon, Childish Gambino, and Twenty One Pilots. More

The last time there was a Woodstock festival was in 1999, to commemorate the original festival's 30th anniversary, and it didn't go so well, with reports of gang rapes, property destruction, violence, and fires, not to mention a fairly terrible lineup featuring Korn, Limp Bizkit, Bush, Kid Rock, Creed, and others. The organizers of Woodstock 50 are no doubt hoping for a more peaceful and loving event this time and the freshly announced lineup is noticeably less heavy, not a nu-metal band in sight.  More

Los Angeles-based trio Cherry Glazerr are releasing a new album, Stuffed & Ready, on February 1 via Secretly Canadian. Previously they shared its first single, the Blonde Redhead-sounding "Daddi," via a video for the song (it was one of our Songs of the Week). Now they have shared another song from the album, "Wasted Nun," via a video for the track.  More

Now the two California bands, longtime friends (Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino and Wavves' Nathan Williams were also previously in a long term relationship together), are setting out on a co-headlining tour together.  More
