At this point it might just be easier to think of Preoccupations as a different band, as their latest album New Material shares a lot more in common with the first, self-titled Preoccupations album than their debut under their former name. Now they have announced the third round of artists to be performing during the music portion (there's also film and interactive portions) in 2018 and it's a long list featuring 570 artists! More

Upon the release of their debut album in 2016, there didn't appear to be a lot to shout about in regard to Sunflower Bean. Hyped up, as with many a modern day band, their stylings felt neat and measured—hardly words you'd want associated with a first impression, especially as a band made up of three, all of whom were barely scraping twenty.
